Does Instana count TCP keep-alive packets as retransmissions?

Problem:

Does Instana count TCP keep-alive packets as retransmissions while reporting the knowledge based incidents for retransmissions?

Solution:

We use what information netstat provides. We do not count ourselves. As you know retransmissions happen on packet loss/damage. Keep alive reduces connection attempts by keeping connections open so the TCP keep-alive will not be counted as restranmission.
